Daffodil ‘Pink Charm’
Daffodil ‘Pink Charm’
Every head turns at the sight of a pink daffodil. Yellow is entrenched in our minds when it comes to this flower so a different shade is enough to stop us in our tracks. We like a plant that grabs our attention and ‘Pink Charm’ is definitely that.
Deep coral fades to pale yellow on this large ruffled cup
Our eyes are immediately drawn to the deep coral pink that edges the pretty ruffled cup. Notice how gradually the pink fades to pale, pale yellow as it meets the elegant white of the petals. The name says it all—it’s charming.

Many stems actually produce a second bloom
‘Pink Charm’ is a sturdy, large-cupped variety that reaches about 14–16 inches tall. It blooms in late April or early May, and you’ll find that many stems actually produce a second bloom.
Plant ‘Pink Charm’ in big sweeping drifts
For maximum impact plant ‘Pink Charm’ in big sweeping drifts—daffodils look best in large groups. We often use this variety in front of shrubs or under trees; it’s also a great naturalizer and fits nicely into a woodland or wild garden. All pink or all yellow is the way to go, rather than trying to mix the two colors.
Plant in part sun, part shade for the best pink coloration
Some pink varieties can take on an orange cast when planted in direct sun; for ‘Pink Charm’ to develop a nice pink coloration, set it in part sun, part shade. Although we refrain from using it with yellow daffodils, this variety does mix well with other spring flowering plants.
We grow ‘Pink Charm’ in the 6-inch pot.
