Easter Rush 2016
Tulips in many colors
Easter is fast approaching—clients will be looking to stock up on material for the holiday and spring open houses. Everyone’s itching to get back in color after the long cold winter, so here’s a rundown of what’s prime in the greenhouses:
Easter lilies in clay pots
Our Easter lilies are large and lush, with strong stems and deep green foliage that has a nice healthy shine. Each plant has several tight buds with one open to display the size of the flower. We grow our lilies in attractive clay pots—you won’t find these in the grocery store!
Easter lilies are available in the 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5-inch clay pot.
‘Monte Carlo Double Yellow’ tulip
Tulips are the harbingers of spring. In these cooler temperatures they last a long time, and ours are just cracking color so you’ll get the maximum shelf life out of them. We carry a full range of shades: Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow.
Our tulips come in the 4.5 and 6-inch pot sizes. ‘Monte Carlo Double Yellow’ is available in the 6-inch pot only.
‘White Lion’ daffodil
Fancy daffodils take this early spring classic to another level, with unexpected colors and textures. Add some to your inventory of classic yellow. Our fancy varieties include: ‘Fortune’ (Butter Yellow and Orange), ‘Pink Charm’ (Pink and White), ‘Ice Follies’ (Creamy White), ‘Mount Hood’ (White), and ‘White Lion’ (White and Yellow).
All of our fancy daffodils come in the 6-inch pot. Traditional yellow daffodils are available in the 6-inch pot as well.
Hyacinth
Customers follow their noses, so fragrant flowers like hyacinth are in high demand for holiday displays. Blue, Pink, and White are ready to go—plus this year we have the stunning lavender ‘Miss Saigon’ that we reviewed back in January.
All of our hyacinth selections are available in the 4.5 and 6-inch pot sizes.
Azalea ‘Jean’
We grow our azalea slowly over time to increase the bud counts and intensify the natural colors. As a result, buds are larger and fuller as well. Our azalea plants ship in tight bud for a longer shelf life. In addition to the new ‘Victoria Light Purple’ that we reviewed in January, we also have: ‘Claudia’ (Hot Pink), ‘Deloose’ (Salmon Bicolor), ‘Jean’ (Pink White Bicolor), ‘Knute’ (White), and ‘Rodriguez’ (Mid Pink).
Azalea varieties all come in the 6-inch pot.
Hydrangea
Our hydrangeas are grown for more and bigger blooms as well. We have classic Blue, Pink, and White.
Hydrangea selections come in the 7.5-inch pot.
Cottage Garden Bowl
Our Cottage Garden Bowl has become both a tradition and customer favorite. Once again we’ve mixed pansies, violas, and early spring accent plants in vibrant colors and fun textures, for a unique display that will stand up to those cold nights that linger into spring.
This combination comes in the 10-inch terra cotta bowl.
